Hello dear friends and family,

Only 14 days until I leave for my trip across the country!  I wanted to reach out with an update as many of you have been asking how to track the journey and keep in touch, and others are wondering if I've left and come back yet.

Quick overview- I am still home.  I am leaving bright and early the day after Easter, Monday April 6.  My girls and my sister will be meeting up with me on Day 1 for a tour of Washington CT, the inspiration for one of our favorite TV shows - the Gilmore Girls. We will have dinner at The Mayflower Inn of course, then I'll be on my own for a while.  My plan is to spend some time in Northwest CT, then upstate NY, landing in NYC for my son's grad school graduation on May 15.  After that I'll take it slow through the Midwest, along the Great Lakes, before I land in Montana for the summer where I will be excited to get visits from many of you.  I'll hit the road again in September and will be home by Thanksgiving.

Regarding trip updates going forward, I'm planning to post pictures and notes to a website my son got me for Xmas.  We are still sorting it out, so once it's Live I'll send you the link.  I'm not a big social media person so probably not going to post anything there unless this website thing is a big fail.  If I change my mind, I'll let you know.

As for keeping in touch, this is my new email address - you can use this one from now on.  I'm going to sunset the old one as soon as I can since I get about 300 spam emails a day (all sorts of interesting info on gadgets, gizmo's and panaceas for the sad and sickly- lots of bad juju there). 

The best and quickest way to reach me will be to text me on my cell but no promises for a speedy reply.
